Baptism"Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into
Christ's Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble." (BCP, p. 298) Baptism is the primary means by which God in Jesus Christ adopts us into the family and household of God. It is the central act of initiation into the faith for Christians. Baptism for infants and children is offered throughout the year on the feast days of Baptism of Our Lord (January), Low Sunday (March/April), Pentecost (May/June), Founders Day (September) and All Saints' Day (November). A simple course of preparation is required for parents and sponsors of the child to be Baptized. Adult Baptism is offered each year at the Great Vigil of Easter. The primary means of preparation for adults is our annual Seekers & Returners course. If you are interested in Baptism, please let us know! Contact the parish office for more information. |
